Are you still doing band work? Brian or Dan.

Dave January 7, 2012 at 6:52 pm

OMG Can’ believe I found this site… Danny and Brian were our favorites at the Pembroke Hotel. Remember Brian used to shine the spot lite on some of the (shall we say buxom gals) and Danny always had a comment. We are taking way back in 1977 -78 erra, Brian Dan, you may remember us Dave and Jean, we got engaged and had a small get together at the Pembroke, please respond to my e-mail address would love to see you two again. Thanks for all the GREAT TIMES, and yes we did drive to Peterborough once to see you, all the way from Pembroke.

Any one remember CANADIAN LADY

Don March 26, 2012 at 8:17 am

I remember Canadian Lady, i have searched for years for a copy. While in CFB Borden in ’75 it was a ‘must play’ at the club.

Wow! Back in the mid 70’s our band “Our Country” toured Canada and played several times at the Pembroke Hotel. Two of the songs we always played were “Goin Away” and “Canadian Lady”. I still like both tunes. We also recorded on Bronco Records in 1974. (Don’t Stop The Rain From Falling) and (Let Me Remember). Check out Sheldon Howlett on You Tube.

I love your blog.. very nice colors & theme.

Did you design this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you?

At this time it appears like Movable Type is the best blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog?

Thanks for your comments Dorie and Greg. We designed this site in WordPress, using the Thesis theme: http://thesis.hostcounsel.com/

Back in the Fall if 1976 I met the band at the Holiday Inn in Cornwall, Ontario. I lived across the River in Massena, NY and met friends there. These guys were very good and we had a lot of fun dancing. I found “Shelly Made Me Smile”, “Goin’ Away” and “Stormy Eyes” on You Tube, and finally have a copy of all three on a USB drive to play in my car. It’s a shame there haven’t been more to find you website. If only we could go back it time……

Thanks for the website. Glad I found it.
